As the first web log entry of this website I would like to say hello and welcome to hopefully one of your many visits to RANGAblog. As some of you probably know me in real life (yet most of you probably don’t) the word ‘ranga’ is a term given to those who have red or orange coloured hair (in which I incidentally have). When I had first heard of the word I thought it was pretty silly, but as the years wore on I had gotten used to the name and had began to use it as my nick name. Hence, RANGAblog was born. Anyways, enough of that.
As a person who enjoys creating computer games and computer programs, a few years back I used to co-own a website that dealt with creating computer games and the like. With the help of a few friends of mine and also a few strangers from around the world, we created a website about creating computer games (CiC Productions as it was called back then) which had a semi-successful run. As the days grew on it was apparent that little-to-no work was being done by the members of the community, and the idea of a game creation community that was hoped to become successful was scrapped. Although a few resurrections had occurred between then and now, none of them became successful enough to keep them running (in terms of members, member’s input, etc).
After a few words from one of my friends, we have decided to give our game creation community another chance to hopefully become successful enough so that it can be kept running by both us and the members. But at this present time, I have decided to create a weblog so that I can list all my development ideas and my development successes so that others can read about them, and so that others may see the progress in which has been made to certain projects of mine and estimate the time it may take for them to be completed (although this can be difficult). I hope for you to check back on this weblog for all my development successes, information about my projects and also comments people may leave me. I would love for people who read this weblog to comment on my articles and hopefully ask questions in which I can answer with utmost respect in regards to the honesty and the question asked.
